+ | February 3, 2011 | 24 Comments

Well, every composer has to go through the real test someday. I guess its my turn today.

I feel really touched by the initial Tanu Weds Manu music reviews that have come by on the net within a day of the official cd launch from T-Series.

Its been a long journey of hardships and perseverance so far. A musician cant ask for anything more than a good appreciation for the work done.

I was really happy to see your comment on my review. It was only deserving that you get a good review and I just did what I had to do. :) Looking forward to more good music from you.
By the way since a lot of my readers are intrigued to know more about you, I was wondering if I could feature an interview with you on Music Aloud. We have in the past interviewed people like Ehsaan Noorani, Amit Trivedi, Mithoon Sharma etc. So if you are interested in an interview, plz drop a mail to response@musicaloud.com so that I get your email ID, and we will carry the matter forward over the mail.

    5. Hey Krsna,
I loved almost all the songs of Tanu Weds Manu. As, VIP told, we would like to know more about you and about “RajShekhar” too.

      Here is my music review:

    6. Hey Krsna,
There is so much doubt about who has sung “Piya na rahe man basiya”. I believe its in Roop kumar Rathod’s voice, but a lot of “music reviewers” have named “Shafqat amanat ali”. Even Madhavan retweeted “Piya na rahe …sung by shafqt ali….nice melody..sounds so sweet…i love this 1.”

      Waiting for you answer,
      Thanks!

    7. Acharya says:

Brilliant songs.. Absolutely mind boggling debut.. Hope you are a hit and are swamped with work. Am going to be proselytizing non stop if you continue the love like this.. And RDB are no match for you sir, the raga based songs were so nuanced it is requiring close attention to appreciate all of them. Even after looped listenings for the entire night I am finding something new each time. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.

      • Krsna says:

        Thanks Acharya,
Your encouragement will stay with me for good. And thanks to you all

It will be great if you could share some information on the track “Rangrez”. It is an absolutely mesmerizing track. Both your version and the other is unique and I cherish both. Glad to hear a different tune in monotonous and repetitive Bollywood.

      • Krsna says:

Hey, i got this request a couple of times earlier too. Just have been a lil busy. But i will definitely do this. cos this song is really really special to me for many reasons. i will publish it soon. :)

    10. Sangeeth says:

      Sir,
I had a sleepless yesternight listening to these two tracks,”Piya na rahe” and “Rangrez”… every note well defined…. so much of perfection… U are here to stay… bollywood music needs more of the raaga based songs today. “Rangrez” is the best in recent times… Both the versions are good… I just read about the Wadali Bros…. there are so many such dedicated and talented artists in India who go unnoticed unless given a platform like this… thanks for showing the torch… Excellent music… pls do not compromise on quality for any reasons… we indians are thirsty for such raaga based songs…
Great work Sir… God bless u…

    11. Suzie says:

Your music!! What should I say? N’, Rangrez – an amazing tribute to your beautiful ability to soothe n’ heal. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it n’ keep playin’ it everyday, as often as I can… You know I’m not one for Hindi songs, yet, this one plays in my ear all day..

I hope your music touches people as much as it did me, always…
I hope you reach heights hitherto unseen…
I hope you find the success everyday, n’ the dreams come alive in the eyes of each audience you play for…
I hope you see the fruits of your effort – not in sighs n’ false followers, but, in those who are really touched by your music – deep within.
I wish you love, luck and loads of success…

      Happy working!! God bless!!

    12. Ashish Jha says:

      Dear Krsna,

I have to tell you that the music you have given took me down to those lanes in Kanpur/ Lucknow/ Kapurthala where they have been shot. The movie is great, BUT your music provided it with its soul.

It was a pleasure hearing the authentic use of tabla and harmonium which we don’t get to hear nowadays, what with the increasing use of synthetic instruments and computerised enhancements.

Especially the tabla in Piya is amazing. Rock on buddy!! Wish you many more movies and hope we hear a lot for of you music in the coming years!

      Cheers,
      Ashish

      Hi Krsna,

The music is very rustic at times and charming. I liked the raw voice in “Yun hi” specially the lyrics well complimenting “Aasmani dukano se dhundhke Pighaladun main chand ko”, also the tabla and flute pieces. We need more from people like you, so please continue.

      Good luck!
      Kailas
